What are common sexual assault prevention strategies at US campuses? Are these prevention interventions effective in reducing sexual assault victim estimated (SAVE) numbers? What are the components of a typical empowerment self-defense (ESD) course? Why is there resistance to ESD courses?
This overview discussed the problem of sexual assault and that a combination of prevention strategies is required to reduce the SAVE numbers. In particular, ESD courses were highlighted.
Further research will investigate the curriculum and pedagogy of ESD courses from a martial science perspective. Compare the SAVE numbers in Japan to international SAVE numbers. Investigate the sexual assault prevention strategies at Japanese higher education institutions in light of sex as a taboo subject.},

NLP was found to be a behavioral science started by John Grinder and Richard Bandler in the early 1970s. NLP modeling was described as behavioral modeling that identified the successful patterns that exceptional performers used whilst undertaking a particular skill. To undertake NLP modeling involved a multi-stage process of selecting a skill to model, choosing master practitioners, observing them in practice and eliciting their thought processes and behaviors; then producing a model annotated using the Emprint Method and finally using the model to teach others that skill.
The paper concluded that NLP Modeling is an interesting approach that could allow for the transfer of knowledge and skill from master practitioners to others. The topic for further research suggested is how to apply NLP modeling to Dr Chape l a master educator in the field of martial science.},

In answering the above questions the likeliness of being a victim of violent crime was investigated. The significant consequences of becoming a victim of violent crime were explored. Then the nature of violence was examined in the light of two broad categories Asocial Violence and Social Violence. The mechanics of asocial and social violent attacks were described.
The paper concluded that violent crime is a hazard but that the risk of becoming a victim of violent crime can be reduced by understanding the process of violent crime. The topic for further research suggested is how to reduce your chances of being selected as a victim of a violent assault.},

The first one is based on the Kenpo Karate self defense system as designed by Ed Parker. The second classification is based on the SubLevel Kenpo Tactical Martial Science system designed by Dr Ron Chapél.
At first the attacks from the self defense techniques contained in of the first syllabus, of each system, were described. The attacks were described physically, then through the lens of Psychology of Confrontation, and finally compared to the frequency of attacks found in today’s society.
The author concluded that the first syllabus that new students will learn in both systems have merit and contain answers to the most common types of street assaults. The Kenpo Karate system is focused on a wider range of attacks on an unaware victim, whilst the SubLevel Kenpo Tactical system is focused on a narrower range of attacks on an aware victim. The topic for further research suggested is the analysis of the defensive movements in the self defense techniques of the first syllabus in both of the martial systems.},

The author’s hypothesis was that teaching using TPRS and TPR in college English classes over two semesters as opposed to one, would increase the amount of words written by the college students. Two classes of Japanese college students studied English using TPRS and TPR techniques for one academic year. A component of their first and second semester exams was to write a story using as many English words as possible in response to seeing a cartoon strip of pictures. The data was statistically analyzed and the results showed the number of words-per-picture increased at the end of the second semester, compared with the first semester, so supporting the author’s hypothesis. The author discussed the limitations of this study and proposed further research.},
